Josie Palmarini (Managing Associate) is a second-year graduate student in American University’s Arts Management program and will complete her M.A. in May 2026. At Avant Bard, she supports artistic, administrative, and production operations, with a focus on community engagement, new play development, and audience experience.
Before joining Avant Bard, Josie earned a BFA in Playwriting from Ohio University, where she also minored in Stage Management and earned a certificate in Women & Gender Studies. As both a playwright and arts manager, she is passionate about building inclusive creative spaces and advancing new work in the DC theatre community.
